Our History

What began in 1996 with just three employees installing air conditioning units under the name Ricky Taff Heating and Air has steadily grown through dedication, perseverance, and a commitment to putting customers first. Starting from the ground up, the company built its reputation by delivering quality work, standing behind every job, and earning the trust of its customers one project at a time.

In 2005, that small operation officially became TDR Contractors. As relationships grew and opportunities followed, the company expanded its services and reach while remaining grounded in the same values it was built on.

Today, TDR Contractors is a full-service mechanical contractor licensed in HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration in Texas and 43 additional states, employing more than 230 people. The company services a wide range of facilities and is willing to travel wherever the job requires to deliver the best possible results for its customers.

TDR now services facilities of all sizes: from Walmart distribution centers to colleges, high schools, and everything in between. Although the company has grown considerably over the years, its core principles remain unchanged: providing dependable service, treating customers with respect, and maintaining the same integrity and pride in workmanship that defined the company from the very beginning.

  • Advanced fabrication capabilities, including TDF machine, Norlock machine, and five-station auto-fold (24 ga to 18 ga)
  • Structural and component fabrication supported by a 5 ft 1/4" plate roller and Edwards 60-ton ironworker
